About Us:

The V.V.S.G.C.E.P School was started in the year 1969 [ The Birth Centenary Year of Mahatma Gandhiji ]. This is the Primary (English Medium) wing of the Vidya Vardhaka Sangha. The school has grown in leaps and bounds since then, making a name for itself and also becoming a landmark in Bangalore and Karnataka.

The school conducts classes from the Play Home to std. VII. This has about 1600 students. The school has subdivisions like Play Home, Nursery, Lower Primary and Higher Primary and each unit has its own Head Mistress who is supervised by the Principal. This is done for efficient functioning and better performance. There are about a 100 staff members of which 70 are very well qualified teachers, clerical staff and menial staff.

With the motto of the school being “Sa Vidya Ya Vimuktaye” which means ‘In pursuit of Excellence’ the institution strives to impart very high level of education to students, by incorporating technology in education. This has resulted in the school’s performance in academics to be exemplary at all levels.

With the focused goal of reaching greater heights and with the objective of being ‘One Up’ in the field of education two unique programmes are launched in the school .

The Mind spark programme conducted by Educational Initiative is an Online Math Class which has gained a lot of acclaim from parents.
‘Next Education’ – our partners in technology aided education, have strengthened our hands in imparting quality education.

The impressive building equipped with hygienic toilets , drinking water facility, well ventilated classrooms and ergonomically designed furniture have all added to the healthy set up of the school.

The staff members are treated as family members. They have been given a lot of benefits. “The ‘focused focus’ of academics has not deterred the students in their participation and success in other extra-curricular and co-curricular activities. Be it in the field of sports, literary or cultural activities – they are there to participate in all. They have bagged a number of International, National and state Level prizes in swimming, karate, athletics, music, dance, painting. They have left no stones unturned.

Value education and inculcating our culture occupies a predominant place in the school curriculum. The Bhagavad Gita, Shlokas and Bhajans are taught as part of the curriculum to all including the tiny tots.
