VVS Pandit Nehru High School

VidyaVardhaka Sangha took inception in the year 1957 at RajajiNagar, Bangalore with the motto—‘Sa VidyaYaVimuktaye’, which means—Education for the inner transformation and liberation of the human beings, and, from that, society would be transformed.  

As the years rolled by, VVS grew steadily spreading its fragrance of achievements in education sector.  On completing 25 years of service in education field at Bangalore, VVS opened a new branch in Mysuru in the year 1982 at SRIDHAMA campus, Kuvempunagar, as VVS BM Sri EI, coinciding with the birth centenary of Prof. B.M.Srikantaiah, one of the most influential writers of Kannada Literature.

Under the able guidance of the Honourable Chairman of VidyaVardhakaSangha.SriP.R.Mundewadi, the Secretary, Sri P.G.Dwarakanath and the members of the managing committee, the institution grew steadily and occupied  a special place in the hearts of Mysoreans.  Owing to the requests of the parents and public, VVS started its High School in the year 1995 , as VVS Pandit Nehru High School named after the first Prime Minister of India, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.

VVS Pandit Nehru High School was inaugurated by the then DDPI of Mysore district, Sri Muniswamappa.  The first batch with just 11 students in class 8 was started under the leadership of the then incharge HM Smt. K.S. Padmini. The new block of Pandit Nehru High School was inaugurated by the Honourable Chairman of VidyaVardhaka Sangha, Sri P.R.Mundewadi,  on 18^th September, 2018.Under the able administration of  Smt. Uma Aniah, Administrator, VVSB.M.Sri EI, guidance from the management and with the support of a team of dedicated teachers, and facilities like Library, well equipped Laboratory and Computer lab, the school rose steadily and occupied a remarkable position in the field of Education.
