VVS Golden Jubilee PU College

VVS Golden PU College was established in 2007 to celebrate the completion of fifty years of service in education, of the Vidya Vardhaka Sangha, in the Sridhama premises of VVS BMSri Institutions of Mysore, on the Lalithadri Road in Kuvempunagar area of Mysore. The college was inaugurated by stalwarts of scientific and artistic temperament like Professor Sri G.T.Narayana Rao and Professor J.R.Lakshmana Rao and was founded on a very sincere and ardent purpose of providing quality and value-based education for the Pre-university students of Mysore.

The Institution runs ably under the highly cultured and idealistic management of VVS Institutions chaired by Sri P.R.Mundewadi, Chairman and Sri P.G.Dwarakanath, Secretary and all present and former Management members.

The college first began with the science combinations of PCMB and PCMC in 2007 under the able guidance of Dr.C.K.Vishwanath as the Principal and Sri. C.Nagendra Rao as the Administrator. A Commerce (EBAC) section was later added in 2018.

VVSGJPU College believes in a totally unassuming but strictly persevering staff of well-qualified teachers who leave no stone unturned in their concept-based teaching, individualistic attention, and meticulous preparation for a competitive future. The group here functions with an immaculate team spirit under the administration of Smt. Uma Aniah and Principal Smt. Shubhada Satish, and the intake of students is a conscientious one, providing an opportunity for a heterogeneous and interesting student body. The Institution has a state-of-the-art infrastructure: excellent labs, spacious and clean classrooms reflecting the temperament of work here, and teachers capable of employing modern teaching aids.  There is a freedom of spirit which inspires the students towards a proper conduct and a thorough introspection of future education choices. Teachers are always available for support, students who need extra help are given constant attention and a number of preparatory exams are conducted, resulting in consistently excellent results in all the years.

An affectionate encouragement is accorded to extra-curricular activities: sports, literary, and cultural. The Institution has proudly seen the emergence of state and national level prodigies in athletics, skating, kick-boxing, wrestling, martial arts, music, and literature, apart from hundreds of students who have done extremely well in their professional courses and creating Apps and Start-ups. The atmosphere at Vidya Vardhaka Sangha is very conducive to a healthy growth of every student who enters the campus.
